The Hooksett Department of Public Works consists of the Divisions of Building Maintenance, Parks & Recreation, Cemetery Maintenance, and Highway.
Responsible for all the interior and exterior maintenance of all Town buildings and properties.
Parks & Recreation
Responsible for taking care of the landscaping of town owned property, overseeing the Community Garden, overseeing the town's Fun In The Sun summer camp program, and scheduling usage for the town's gym, which is located at the Town Hall.
Cemetery Maintenance is a joint responsibility between three different entities. The Highway Division processes the Grave Opening Requests, and digs and backfills the graves, the Parks & Recreation Division does landscaping, and the Cemetery Commission sells the lots. Fee Schedule
Responsible for road maintenance, drainage, catch basins, ditching, brush cutting, sweeping, plowing, sanding/salting, culvert pipe installation, public safety signage, and issuing of roadway excavation permits. Fleet maintenance is also handled by this division.
