NHDES Hooksett Well Water Health Advisory
Details - Groundwater testing in Southern Hooksett in Fall 2019 detected elevated levels of uranium and other potentially hazardous compounds. NHDES subsequently began testing residential wells in Southern Hooksett as part of an assessment to protect the health and safety of residents who rely on groundwater. NHDES has been in regular contact with the Town Officials and both state and local officials have provided periodic public updates on the subject. Most recently, the state team completed a signfiicant study, and presented their findings and recommendations in the form of a "Letter Health Consultation" that can be found below. Details of the Letter Health Consultation were presented at Town Council's regular 4/28/2021 meeting.
