Hooksett Holiday Assistance Program

Hooksett, NH - The following programs will be offered to Hooksett families in need during the upcoming holiday season. If you would like to apply for any of these programs, please call (603)485-8769 or email PFlynn@hooksett.org as soon as possible to make a confidential appointment with the Hooksett Family Services Department.  These appointments will only take place in 30 minute intervals on the following dates: Tuesday, October 12th from 8:00am – 4:00pm; Wednesday, October 13th from 8:00am – 11:00am and 2:00pm – 6:00pm; Thursday, October 14th from 8:00am -4:00pm,. The deadline to apply for the following programs is Thursday October 14th at 4:00pm.

Clothes Line Kids Program- Children’s outdoor winter clothing is provided through donations from the Hooksett GE employees/Salvation Army (one child per family).

Thanksgiving Food Baskets- Families are provided with a food basket and turkey.  Winter clothing donations from the above program are distributed with the food baskets.

Hooksett Holiday Assistance Programs - Holiday gifts are provided to families (children under 18, High School seniors are eligible) through community donations.  Christmas food baskets will also be provided.

*Who is eligible?

Hooksett families with children ages 17 (or through Senior year of High School) and under that are currently receiving any of the following:

Food Stamps           Fuel Assistance      SSI/SSDI                 Hooksett Community Food Pantry

TANF                         Section 8                  WIC                          Medicaid                                                                    

*What is my family eligible for?

If eligible, families can sign up for any and all of the following:

A Thanksgiving food basket with a turkey

Outdoor Winter Clothing (one child per family)

A Christmas food basket with a turkey

Supplemental Christmas gifts for each child- each child will receive gifts up to $100 in value. Each child may request 1 thing that they want, 1 thing that they need, 1 thing that they wear, and 1 thing that they read, watch or listen to.

**No requests for:Computers/Tablets/Fitbits/Bikes**

*The intention of this program is to assist families by providing a few additional gifts so please plan accordingly.

*What do I bring to my appointment?

-Proof of your enrollment in any of the above assistance programs, proof of Hooksett residency, and 4 gift ideas for each child: Something they want, something they need, something they’ll wear, and something they’ll read, watch, or listen to.

*When do I pick up my donations?

-Thanksgiving Distribution- Saturday, November 21st at the Town Hall Gym 10:00am - 12:00pm (Winter clothing will also be distributed at the gym on this day)

-Christmas Distribution- Saturday, December 19th at the Town Hall Gym 10:00am - 12:00pm.
