Thanks to Mackenzie Conner, a local Girl Scout, the town now has a virtual tour of Head Cemetery available to visitors at the cemetery. Mackenzie adopted this project in pursuit of the Gold Award, the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Got a smartphone, camera app, or a QR code reader? If you do, you can learn about the founder of Robie's Store; the family who developed the Pinnacle; Hooksett’s only governor, Natt Head; tavern owner Samuel Head; Jesse Gault, prominent historical figure; and the noteworthy Otterson family. Just scan the QR code on the sign at the grave site. As time allows, more sites will be added.
If unable to visit in person, the information may be accessed online at https://sites.google.com/view/hcvt/home?authuser=0.
The Hooksett Heritage Commission and the Hooksett Cemetery Commission thank Mackenzie for her interest in sharing this part of our town’s history.
