For immedate release: With assistance from the NH Land and Community Heritage Investment Program, the restoration of the large windows in the main hall has begun.  Milestone Engineering and Construction, Inc., in Concord is doing the job.  They’ve removed the fire escape and door, the brick infill, and 1961-era windows.  Large windows to fill the new openings will be installed to bring the exterior back to 1889 when the first modifications of the brick openings were created.  The Town Hall Preservation Committee expects the job to take several weeks.
